Switzerland and Nigeria marked the tenth anniversary of their migration partnership on Tuesday, 23 March. At an event in the Nigerian capital Abuja, Ms Karin Keller-Sutter and Bashir Nura Alkali, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, underlined the success of their two countries’ cooperation on migration to date and discussed future projects. Migration partnerships are a core element of Switzerland's foreign migration policy.
Federal Councillor Karin Keller-Sutter is attending the event on 23 March in the Nigerian capital Abuja to mark the tenth anniversary of the migration partnership with Nigeria. The partnership has become a model for success in Switzerland’s foreign policy on migration. The working visit also serves to further strengthen cooperation between Switzerland and Nigeria.
