What is the issue?
Switzerland became a member of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) when the Council of Europe Criminal Law Convention on Corruption entered into force in 2006. The Group of States supports and strengthens the fight against corruption, and the integrity of Member States, by means of reciprocal examinations. Reports on the individual country examinations, and any recommendations, are essentially confidential, but in practice are published with the consent of the countries they concern.
